Project Proton

UPDATE: v1.0.2 is released. It simply adds a QoL change to add checkpoints in, if the permadeath aspect is too difficult: https://github.com/TaizWeb/project-proton/releases/tag/v1.0.2
The game version currently hosted here was the one originally submitted to the jam, simply lacking this change.

Controls:

Arrow keys to move, X to fire, Z to jump. Left shift/ctrl used later in the game.

To open doors, fire dark matter (shift-X) into them.

Project Proton is a short game I created for Metroidvania Jam 8. All code/graphics were created by myself, with the music and sounds by phantomrain.
